PRE-ORDER Kotobukiya ZD171 ZOIDS RZ-045 SALAMANDER (February 2026)

The RZ-045 Salamander, the only giant flying Zoid in existence, is now available as a 1/72-scale “HMM (Highend Master Model)” model kit from Kotobukiya with a new design! The wings have a wide range of motion, as do the neck and tail; each weapon is a separate part and can be moved independently. Aggressive flying and landing poses are possible, too.

The canopy of the head and back cockpit opens and closes, and a general pilot figure is included.
The Zoid core part built into the torso can be removed.
Each weapon and the head radar can be moved independently.
The claws on the feet can be moved widely, on both the heels and toes. It can easily get into poses like a bird of prey!
A replacement abdominal part with a 5mm hole is included so the Zoid can be displayed with a Flying Base Neo.
An attachment is included to equip the Gojulas Cannon. The enhanced form can be recreated by replacing the back parts.
Decals with a variety of emblems and caution marks are included too.
